SIR Paul Adams KNZM, CNZM, C.F.Inst.D
Sir Paul is Executive Chairman of Carrus.
After qualifying as a Civil Engineer in 1969 in Wellington, Sir Paul developed a career in Civil Engineering Contracting, not only representing the New Zealand Contractors Federation on various Committees, but also commencing his own practice in Civil Engineering becoming heavily involved in Arbitration and Contract Law.
From 1990 to date, under his company – Carrus – he has built up one of the largest land development operations in the Bay of Plenty, producing 200-300 lots per year and selling on average 200 lots per annum. In the past few years, he has extended his business nationwide including areas such as Rotorua, Taupo, Hamilton, Palmerston North, Napier and Wellington.
Sir Paul was voted 2013 Westpac Business Leader of the Year in the Bay of Plenty, was appointed a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for his services to business and philanthropy and more recently appointed a Knight Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to philanthropy and the community. In 2023, Sir Paul was also inducted into the New Zealand Business Hall of Fame for making extraordinary contributions to both business and the community throughout New Zealand.

Scott Adams
Scott is General Manager of Carrus Properties, and also Managing Director of all of our residential land developments and commercial development companies. He is ultimately responsible for all Carrus subdivisions throughout the North Island together with being responsible for the buildings we own.
Scott has a BMS from University of Waikato and an MSc. from London Southbank University.

Di Sisson
Di is the Administrative Manager and has been in Paul’s employ since moving to Tauranga in 1988. She is responsible for the timely production and supervision of all secretarial functions and company regulatory tasks associated with each of the companies in the Adams’ Group, is in charge of payroll, undertakes debtors and creditors as well as co-ordinating the Sales, Marketing and Advertising for each of the developments and maintains the websites for the company.

Kerrie Rippey
Kerrie is the Property Manager. She is responsible for the property management of all projects, overseeing all dwellings and properties to ensure they meet the covenants required in each subdivision. She checks all house and landscaping plans that require approval throughout the Carrus group of subdivisions.
Kerrie undertakes processing of monthly financial data and also assists with the preparation of the annual financial accounts for the many Carrus entities.

GRANT YOUNG
Grant is Finance Manager for the Carrus Group of companies, responsible for cash management, financial reporting and taxation matters for all entities, together with supporting management with feasibility studies, supporting project managers with ensuring project budgets and profitability are on target, as well as general financial and property management support.
Grant is CA qualified, having started his career in chartered accountancy, but spending most of his career in various corporate roles, including spending 14 years with Comvita Ltd as Chief Financial Officer and in Commercial roles in the UK and Australia. More recently Grant spent 6+ years with Brother International NZ Ltd as Chief Financial Officer and Company Director.

Kevin Alkema
Kevin is an Architectural Designer with a background in civil engineering and has over 35 years experience in land development within the Wellington region, having worked as a designer and project manager in a partnership with a surveyor for a land developer and later as a private consultant.
Kevin’s role is Project Manager for the Carrus Group in the Wellington area and involves completing the various developments to a high standard on time and to budget.

Mike Haden
Mike was originally born and raised on the farm in Whanganui. He and his family moved to the Bay of Plenty region some 33 years ago. Mike has been involved in contracting for 21 years having worked around New Zealand, Australia and the U.K. Prior to being involved with Carrus, his most recent experience was working for Higgins Contractors as Branch Manager for the Bay of Plenty Region.
Mike has a New Zealand Certificate in Engineering (CIvil) and has developed many relationships within the industry during his time as a Contractor
Mike’s role is Project Manager for the Carrus Group in the Bay of Plenty area and is currently in charge of Carrus’ newest project – Emerald Hills in Napier as well as overseeing the completion of our Nga Roto Estate subdivision in Taupo.

Sandy Banner
Sandy is based in our Aotea subdivision as a part-time Sales Consultant.
Her role is to assist with administration, sales, covenant queries and helps with customer inquiries for Aotea and our newest project Jamaica Rise in Grenada North.
Having lived and purchased homes in Whitby/Porirua over the past 30 years, she knows the area well and enjoys what the suburb has to offer. Sandy has come to us after working locally within the banking industry.

Annalisa Shepherd
Annalisa was our part-time Sales Consultant in The Lakes Sales Office, however, with the complete sellout of stock, she now assists with keeping the subdivision site presentation up to scratch and oversees covenant issues throughout The Lakes.
